Article 1: Application of These Terms

These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for using the mobile application "PhotoLimit" (hereinafter referred to as "this App") provided by MARU SOFT (hereinafter referred to as "the Operator"). All users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who use this App are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 2: Definitions

In these Terms, the following terms shall have the meanings set forth below:

• "Service" refers to the expiration date management service for food and daily necessities provided through this App
• "Content" refers to product information, images, and other data registered by Users in this App
• "AI Analysis Feature" refers to the function that automatically extracts product names, expiration dates, etc. from product images
• "Notification Feature" refers to the function that notifies Users of expiration alerts
• "Subscription" refers to a paid plan for accessing premium features of this App
• "Premium User" refers to a User who has subscribed to a paid plan

Article 3: Terms of Use

1. This App is provided for personal use only.
2. Users shall use this App at their own responsibility upon agreeing to these Terms.
3. Users shall be responsible for preparing and maintaining the devices, communication environment, and other equipment necessary to use this App at their own expense.
4. When using the AI Analysis Feature of this App, Users agree that images will be processed by cloud services (Firebase AI Logic).
5. To use the Notification Feature, Users need to enable notification settings on their device.

Article 4: Prohibited Activities

Users shall not engage in any of the following activities when using this App:

• Activities that violate laws or public order and morals
• Activities that interfere with the operation of this App
• Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling this App
• Unauthorized use or unauthorized access to this App
• Activities that infringe on the rights of the Operator or third parties
• Any other activities deemed inappropriate by the Operator

Article 5: In-App Purchases

This App offers the following subscription plans:

1. Subscription purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play's in-app purchase system.
2. Monthly and Yearly plans will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period.
3. You can cancel your subscription from your device settings (App Store/Google Play).
4. Refunds are subject to Apple or Google's policies. The Operator cannot process refunds directly.
5. Premium features may be changed without prior notice.

Article 6: Usage Limits

Some features of this App have usage limits.

1. Usage counts are reset daily at midnight (based on your device's timezone).
2. Once the limit is reached, the AI image analysis feature cannot be used until the next day.
3. Usage limits may be changed without prior notice.

Article 7: Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights related to content included in this App (text, images, designs, software, etc.) belong to the Operator or the legitimate rights holders. Users may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly transmit, or otherwise use such content without the prior written consent of the Operator.

Article 8: Disclaimer

1. The Operator makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, usefulness, or other aspects of the content of this App.
2. The Operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of this App, except in cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Operator.
3. The Operator shall not be liable for any loss or corruption of data managed by this App. Please back up important data yourself.
4. The extraction results of product names, expiration dates, etc. by the AI Analysis Feature are for reference only, and accuracy is not guaranteed. Please always check the actual product packaging for expiration dates.
5. Expiration alerts from the Notification Feature may not be delivered depending on device settings or communication conditions. The final responsibility for expiration management lies with the User.

Article 9: Service Changes and Termination

The Operator may change the content of this App or terminate the provision of this App without prior notice to Users. The Operator shall not be liable for any damages caused to Users as a result.

Article 10: Changes to These Terms

The Operator may change these Terms without prior notice to Users when deemed necessary. The revised Terms shall become effective when posted on this App.

Article 11: Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The interpretation and application of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
